An unnamed man was arrested by the Abia State Police Commandon suspicion of robbery and rape.

A middle-aged man was detained for allegedly raping a female passenger who boarded his motorcycle at Ntigha Junction. The woman was heading for Umukalu Ntigha but the malefactor had other plans. The man took her to an isolated farm, had a sexual intercourse and denude of N850 in cash.
According to the information provided by Commissioner of Police, Adamu Ibrahim, the incident took place around 9pm at Ntigha area of the state. The case is till under investigation, the suspect will soon appear in court.
One more criminal was arrested for allegedly holding five-year-old and seven-year-old boys hostage with an intention to sell them. The offender, Nnenna Ohaja of Ogbodiukwu Umuokpara, confessed to the crime and one of the kidnappers Onyemaechi Alo from Asaba, Delta State, was also arrested and interrogated.
It was learnt that Onyemaechi Alo and Obinna of Obingwa Local Government Area gave Nnenna Ohaja the boys to sell them at the cost of N250,000 each. The victims identified as Destiny Clement and Godspower Ikechukwu, both residents of Delta State, have been reunited with their parents.
